This photo is definitely one of my favorites. I couldn't believe how well it turned out. I took this photo in Charlotte, NC at the EpiCentre. I won't tell the secret of how I captured this amazing picture, but I hope I can meet some of the radio hosts next time I'm Uptown and show them this picture.

These beautiful children are from all across the World. There is an amazing after school program provided to students of immigrants/refugees free of charge. Your children receive the one on one training and attention that they may not be getting in their classrooms. These children get help with improving their english, social skills, life skills, home economics, and of course homework help as we have tutors there to assist each child. This program should be considered a non-profit. If you would like to help or donate, please contact silvia@ingoodecompany.com. Thank you!

"Pride" on a trash can I thought this moment that I captured this picture was awesome. I believe it was a gay pride bracelet, given the colors. When I thought about it and just took a moment to reflect. It kinda had me thinking along the lines that regardless of what we have going on in life, the trails we go through, etc., keep your pride. “Have pride in yourself” as the bracelet states so clearly.

Natural Beauty

My first time taking nature shots and this is my favorite so far! I took this shot at the State House in Columbia, South Carolina last Summer. It was a beautiful warm day, and I had nothing to do. I took a public bus into town and walked the city (literally). I covered more than 20 blocks of downtown Columbia. Long story short I ended up at the State House, and boy was I happy! I would say out of 100 shots, about 20 of them turned out to be perfect just like this one! I played with my new camera, learned a lot about different settings, and tried my hand at nature photography. Looks like I’m hooked! I’ll post more later!

Proud and Excited

I am SO excited to be starting my first photography blog! I feel so accomplished with even this simple but big step for me. I really hope you all enjoy the photo’s that I will be posting over the next few days. For those who are following me, I have over 500 photos I will be uploading, so PLEASE bare with me. It’s going to take me a little while to upload them, but I promise they will all be up soon! For those of those of you who may be photographers, I am always interested in advice from professionals. Thanks again for following!

Until Next Time,

Tessa

Ms.Nala

One of the first pictures I took of a “person” and not a plant or building; My 4 month old niece Nala. I’ve always only liked nature and architectural shots, but after a mini session with her, I was in love. I’m hoping to expand and maybe do a few maternity shoots if possible.
